First time here? Welcome to Nationwide! Here's what to do.

Whether or not you are receiving benefits, you should take the steps below.

Rest assured that if you are receiving benefits, you will continue to receive them as before.

Review your welcome letter

Two weeks prior to the first direct benefit payment from Nationwide, you will receive a welcome letter that will explain your benefit and how we will serve you. Review the data verification section of the letter and call the Nationwide Pension Transfer Service Center if anything is missing or incorrect.

Create a username and password

You will receive a temporary password in your welcome letter. Use your temporary password to access your account and establish permanent login information.

Review your certificate

A few months after you get the welcome letter, you will receive from Nationwide a certificate that defines the benefit to which you are entitled. You will be asked to confirm that the certificate is accurate.

Set up online access to your account

Once you’ve established permanent login information, you can access your account as often as you like to:

View your gross, net and history of annuity payments
Change your address
Initiate or update direct deposit information
View and adjust your tax withholding and download your year-end tax reporting form (1099-R)
Initiate a verification of income
Run customized benefit commencement scenarios and initiate benefit commencement when ready

After you have set up your access through the website, you can download Alight Mobile to your Apple or Android smartphone.

Here's how:

Install Alight Mobile from the App Store or Google Play
Open the app
Select “Nationwide” when asked for your company
Click “Next”
Log in with your username and password
